Each of the project deliverables are described briefly below. D1 The Project Presentation - a brief outline of the project to use as part of Commission presentations. It was provided in powerpoint and HTML versions together with explanatory notes on the partners and subject domain and context to aid a potential presenter. D2 The Dissemination and Use Plan - outlines the intended SaFES Dissemination activities within the European Commission’s SaFES programme. As it was intended that SaFES be a commercial product, there are other activities that are equivalent to EC dissemination activities but will be carried out as part of the marketing programme for SaFES. D3 The Assessment and Evaluation Plan - a high level indication of how the members of the SaFES consortium intended to evaluate the SaFES tool as part of the trial. This document describes how the evaluation would be divided into three distinct phases:
D4 - a document submitted as evidence that a demonstration of operational SaFES to representatives of the Project Officer was carried out at one of the User sites on Monday, 6th May 2002. D5 The Assessment and Evaluation Report - outlines the output from the trial divided into three main sections: the implementation of the trial, performance against expected standards and performance against the expectations of the industry. The trial showed that with minor exceptions the software met the requirements of the industry. Further conclusions were drawn about the use of ICT as an aid to regulation both within the food industry and in general. D6 The Dissemination and Use Report - describes the dissemination activities that have taken place within the European Commission’s SaFES programme during the duration of the contract i.e. from 1 November 2000 to 30 June 2002. It also describes the activities that are to be undertaken in the six months following the end of the official contract between the European Commission and the participants. Furthermore, some preliminary indications are included as to how the results of the trial will be exploited in terms of on-going developments and commercialisation activities. |
